This issue occurs because of a specific firmware version. The firmware version impacted is HPS2. Below are steps to collect data on Workstations to find out what firmware version your PM9A1 drives are using.
STEPS TO INVESTIGATE THE FIRMWARE VERSION ON PM9A1.

Press F2 to enter HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI.

Go to System Information.
-
Go to Storage, and then check the firmware version of PM9A1.
If your PM9A1 firmware version is HPS3 there are no steps to be taken as this firmware version is not impacted.
If your firmware version is
HPS2 or earlier, go to
HP Software and Driver and download and install
HPS3 firmware softpaq.
The specific SP # is SP144008. The specific name of the firmware SP is
Samsung SSD Firmware Update for Workstations.
