HP Elite Slice G2 - Setting up Microsoft Teams Rooms

Use Microsoft Teams Rooms to schedule and manage online video conference meetings. This application also lets you share your screen, documents, or photos.

Set up and use Microsoft Teams Rooms

Set up Microsoft Teams Rooms to enable a video conference meeting.

  1. Turn on the computer.

  2. Confirm that the computer is connected to the network with an active internet connection.

  3. Log in with your Skype user account.

  4. When prompted, select your region, and then select the keyboard layout.

  5. Select a second keyboard layout, if necessary.

  6. When prompted, connect the wired network cable, and then wait for the system to connect. During the network check, it is normal for the screen to turn dark and not display any activity.

  7. Accept the End User License Agreement (EULA).

  8. Set up your account with the account information provided by your IT administrator.

  9. Set up any advanced features you might need, such as joining a domain. After you select Finish, the computer reboots to finish setting up the service.

    Note:

Optionally, if you want to join the system to a domain, type the domain and user name in the following format: domain\username. For more information about joining domains, see Manage Microsoft Teams settings for your organization (in English).

  10. To initiate a new meeting, select New meeting, and then invite the contact or a phone number if a phone license is active for the Microsoft Teams Room. After the meeting starts, the meeting window displays different options. For more information about Microsoft Teams Rooms options, see Microsoft Teams Admin Documentation Center (in English).

    Note:
    • Select Settings to change the audio or video settings, access Windows Settings to sign in as an Administrator, or to sign out.

    • Select the Hangup icon to leave the meeting.

Reinstall the Microsoft Teams Rooms software

HP does not recommend downloading and reinstalling the Microsoft Teams software.

Specific changes to the factory image enable the computer to function properly with Microsoft Teams Rooms, including the following:

  • Addition of Microsoft TeamsRooms and Microsoft TeamsRoomsAdmin accounts.

  • Configuration of Microsoft Teams Rooms to sign in and run automatically under the Microsoft TeamsRooms account.

  • Configuration of Kiosk mode settings.

To reinstall the Microsoft Teams Rooms software, choose the Reset your PC recovery option. Go to HP PCs - Reset the computer. Be sure that you select Remove Everything.

Note:

All your personal files, apps, and settings are removed. The preinstalled Microsoft Teams Rooms software reinstalls after the computer is reset.

You can download the cloud recovery image from HP Elite Slice G2 - HP Cloud Recovery Tool Available Now. If you need to use a clean image, go to Getting Started with Microsoft Teams Rooms (in English) for more information.

If the image is unreadable or corrupted, you must download a driver to restore light ring and video ingest functionality. Go to HP Driverpack Matrix x64 to download the correct driver for your computer.

Note:

To manually access the user accounts in Microsoft Teams Rooms, connect a keyboard to the USB adapter, and then press the Windows key Identifying the Windows keyfive times. The password for the Administrator account is sfb.
