HP printer setup (HP Print for Chrome)
Print documents, photos, and web pages through the Google Chrome browser with this extension. Downloading an additional print
driver is not required.
Install HP Print for Chrome
To print from the Chrome browser, install the HP Print for Chrome extension from the Chrome Web Store.
Before you begin
Review these requirements to use HP Print for Chrome.

A Chromebook, Mac, or Windows computer connected to the internet

An active Gmail or Google Chrome account

The latest version of the Chrome browser: Go to Update Google Chrome (in English) for more information

Click Add to Chrome, and then follow the instructions to complete the extension setup.
Print with HP Print for Chrome
Print documents, images, web pages, and emails from the Chrome browser.
Procedure

Turn on the printer and make sure it is connected to the same network as the computer or with a USB cable.

From the Chrome browser, open the item you want to print.

Click the Print icon
if available, or click the browser Menu icon
, and then select Print.

Select your printer from the Destination menu and change any print job settings as needed.

Why is my printer not listed as a destination?
Check the printer connection to the network, or manually add it to HP Print for Chrome with the IP address.
Procedure

Check the printer network connection status.
The printer connection status should be Connected or Ready. If it is not, continue with these steps to connect your printer to the network.

Connect the printer to the network.

Printers with a touchscreen control panel: Open the Setup, Network, or Wireless menu, select Wireless Setup Wizard, and then follow the instructions to connect the printer to your network.

Printers without a touchscreen control panel: Press and hold the Wireless
and Cancel buttons at the same time until the Power light blinks, and then wait for the Wireless light to blink. Within two hours, press
and hold the WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) button on the router until the connection process begins. The Wireless light on the printer stops
blinking when the connection completes.

HP Deskjet 6000 and 6400, ENVY 6000 and 6400, and Tango printers: Press and hold the Wireless button on the rear of the printer for five seconds until the Edge lighting flashes blue or purple. Within two hours, press
and hold the WPS button on the router until the connection process begins. The Wireless light on the printer stops blinking when the connection
completes.
If the printer is connected but is still not listed as a destination, continue with these steps to connect with the printer

Click the browser Menu icon
, click Settings, and then click Extensions.

In the HP Print for Chrome box, click Details.

How do I remove a printer from HP Print for Chrome?
Remove a printer from the list of destinations through your computer printers list.
Procedure

From the Print window In Chrome, click the Destinations drop down menu.

Click See more... at the bottom of the pop-up menu.

In the Select a destination window, click Manage to view and remove any unwanted printers.
How do I enable, disable, or remove HP Print for Chrome?
From settings in Chrome, you can enable, disable, or remove the HP Print for Chrome app.
Procedure

In a Chrome browser, type chrome;//extensions in the address bar, and then press Enter.

In the list of Chrome extensions that displays, locate HP Print for Chrome.

To enable or disable the app, click the On/Off toggle. White is disabled, blue is enabled.

To remove the app, click Remove, and then click Remove to confirm.
