DESCRIPTION
If an HP Notebook, as described in the SCOPE section, is configured with LED-backlit display with ambient light sensor(ALS), the brightness may be automatically changed when movement is detected around the ALS.

RESOLUTION
This is working as designed. To disable adaptive brightness feature, the following steps must be performed.
  1. Open the Windows start menu and click Settings.
  2. In the settings window, click System.
  3. The Display menu should be selected on the left. Iif it is not, click Display.
  4. Turn the Change brightness automatically when lighting changes to Off.
