Color matching is not certified between different platforms but ensuring the usage of equivalent print modes is essential for achieving better similarities with printing results.

note:
Besides the print mode used, a large group of pre-press and press conditions must be checked in order to obtain close results. If after matching all the pre-press and press conditions, the results obtained are still not close enough, there are specific programs (such as AVA Digital Print or GMG Color Management), which are intended to help you obtain color matching between the different printer models.

How to use Emulation Print Modes

Emulation print modes are available in the recommended software RIP’s for FB5x0/7x0 Printers: Onyx Thrive and Caldera Grand RIP.

As the above table shows, Emulation print modes are available in Photo and Photo Plus Print Modes and they are virtually printing 600 dpi. As a result, they allow the FB550/750 to emulate the IQ achieved with the Photo Print Modes available in the old FB500/700 series.

Emulation Print Modes are normally included in the standard package of the RIP’s color profiles. If you do not find the print modes, you can download them from the following links:
