HP OfficeJet 250 Mobile Printers - Copying Documents

This document is for the HP OfficeJet 250, 250c, 252, 252c, and 258 Mobile All-in-One printers.
You can use your printer to produce copies of printed documents.
Step 1: Load the original document
Load the original document in the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) tray. Use the scanner to copy original documents or to produce a 2-sided copy.
  1. Press the Power button to turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
  2. Load plain U.S. letter, A4, or legal size paper into the input tray before you print.
  3. Open the document feeder tray.
      caution:
    Do not load photos in the ADF.

  4. Load the original print-side down into the document feeder.

      note:
    Do not exceed more than 10 sheets of white paper in the document feeder.
  5. Slide the paper into the document feeder until you hear a tone or see a message on the printer control panel display indicating that the original pages are detected.
      note:
    To load an original printed in portrait orientation, place the pages so the top edge of the document goes in first. To load an original printed in landscape orientation, place the pages so that the left edge of the document goes in first.
Step 2: Copy the document
Use the Copy menu on the printer control panel to select copy settings and start the copy job.
  1. From the Home screen on the printer control panel, touch Copy Document.
  2. Touch the desired number of copies, or touch the keypad, and then input a number.
  3. Touch the Settings icon to open the Copy Settings menu, and then specify desired advanced copy settings:
    • Touch Resize: to select copying options. Touch Custom, to enter a value between 25% and 400% to reduce or enlarge the copy. Touch Full Page to copy the full size original. To return to the copy settings, touch the Back button.
    • Touch Paper Size and Type to make sure you have the correct paper loaded in the tray. To return to the copy settings, touch the Back button.
    • Touch Quality to select copying quality options.Best produces a copy with finer detail. Normal produces the standard copy quality. Draft quickly produces a copy with less ink. To return to the copy settings, touch the Back button.
    • Touch Lighter/Darker and swipe in the appropriate direction to select lighter or darker copies. To save this setting, touch Done.
    • Touch Enhancements to select print settings. To return to the copy settings, touch the Back button.
    • Touch Collate, and then touch On to collate a number of copies. To return to the Copy settings, touch the Back button.
    • Touch Binding Margin, and then touch On to produce pages with a margin shifted to the left side of the page. To return to the copy settings, touch the Back button.
    • Touch Save Current Settings to retain the advanced settings after this copy job, and then touch Save.
  4. Touch Back to return to the Copy settings screen.
  5. Touch Start Black or Start Color to start the copy job.
