HP LaserJet Enterprise Flow MFP M830 and HP LaserJet Enterprise M806 - Replace the duplexer

Introduction

This document provides the procedures to remove and replace the duplexer for the HP LaserJet Enterprise M806 and HP LaserJet Enterprise Flow MFP M830.

Before you begin
  • Use the table below to identify the correct kit part number for your product, and then go to www.hp.com/buy/parts to order the kit.

Required tools
  • No special tools are required to install this kit.

Step 1 - Remove the Duplexer

  1. Do the following:
    1. Turn off the product.
    2. Disconnect the power cord.
        warning:
      Turn the product off, wait five seconds, and then remove the power cord before attempting to service the product.
    3. Disconnect all cables and accessories attached to the formatter.
  2. Separate the output accessory, if installed, by lifting up on the upper release latch and sliding it away from the print engine. The output accessory does not need to be removed.

  3. Open the left door.

  4. Push down on the green lever to release the duplexer, and then remove it.

Step 2 - Unpack the Replacement Duplexer

Unpack the replacement duplexer from the packaging.
note:
HP recommends responsible disposal of the defective duplexer.

Step 3 - Install the replacement Duplexer

  1. Slide the replacement duplexer into the product.

  2. Close the left door.
    Figure : Close the left door
  3. Slide the output accessory, if installed, back into the closed position, making sure that no cables are caught between the output accessory and the print engine.

  4. Do the following:
    1. Plug in the power cord.
    2. Turn on the product.
