HP LaserJet - Unable to install, preload, or stage the Universal Print Driver v5.6.5 in Windows

Issue
When installing the HP Universal Print Driver v5.6.5 package, two configuration files (hpmprein.config and hppldcoi.config) are missing and customers are unable to manually pre-load or 'stage' the INF files.
Solution
To pre-load or 'stage' the HP UPD 5.6.5 drivers, use the install.exe to add the INF files to the Windows driver store via a command prompt.
  note:
Beginning with v5.6.5, the HP Universal Print Driver v5.6.5 install.exe allows the HP Universal Print Driver file to be pre-loaded to the Windows ® driver store.
  1. Open a command window.
  2. Type /infstage with “/h and /q” install switches. For example:
    install.exe /infstage /h /q OR
    install.exe /h /infstage /q OR
    install.exe /q /h /infstage
The install script will silently pre-load the HP Universal Print Driver file to the Windows ® driver store.
Workaround
To automatically pre-load the HP Universal Print Driver (UPD) files to the Windows ® Driver store, install HP Universal Print Driver v5.7.0 which has the latest configuration files included. To obtain the latest version of the HP UPD, go to www.hp.com/go/upd.
Cause
Two configuration files (hpmprein.config and hppldcoi.config) are missing from the HP Universal Print Driver v5.6.5 package. These files enable the INF files provided in the driver package of the HP UPD to be pre-loaded into the Windows ® driver store. These files also enable an installation via direct, USB-connection to work on older, high-end devices in Windows XP and 2000. Without these files, the driver cannot be loaded into the Windows ® driver store which is necessary for a successful USB installation.
