HP LaserJet Pro MFP - Obtain Readiris Pro software (Windows)

Introduction

Readiris Pro provides your HP LaserJet Pro with advanced OCR and scanning features to convert your paper documents into editable and searchable PDF files. A Readiris Pro software CD is not included in the box with HP LaserJet Pro Multifunction Printers (MFPs).

This document provides information about obtaining Readiris Pro software for the following printers.

Download the Readiris software

Depending on your printer model, the Readiris Pro software is available either as a separate download or as part of the Full Software download for the printer. Follow these steps to download the software for your printer:

Go to support.hp.com, click Software and Drivers in the top menu bar, and then click the Printer icon.
Enter your product name and then click Submit. The Software and driver results page displays.
Make sure the selected operating system version matches your Windows computer. Change the version if necessary.
Find the software that is available for your printer model:
- If the Application-3rd Party section is available, expand it to find the Readiris Pro download.
- If the Application-3rd Party section is not available, expand the Driver-Product Installation software to find the Full Solution download for your printer.
Click the Details link and then click See full details to review the description and installation instructions.
Click Download, and follow the installation instructions from the previous step.
