What operating systems support USB printing on the HP Designjet 500, 510 and 800 series printers?

USB and Windows Operating System Support

USB printing support is as follows:
  • Designjet 500
    • Windows XP
    • Windows Vista (32 and 64 bit)
    • Windows 7 (32 and 64 bit) only if the printer has the HPGL/2 Accessory card installed. Note that no raster driver is available for Windows 7 (32 or 64 bit).
  • Designjet 510
    • Windows XP
    • Windows Vista (32 and 64 bit)
    • Windows 7 (32 and 64 bit)
  • Designjet 800
    • Windows XP
    • Windows Vista (32 and 64 bit)
    • Windows 7 (32 and 64 bit)

Once this web page opens do the following:
  1. Click Download drivers and software (and firmware).
  2. Enter your product name / number (for example LaserJet 1320).
  3. Click Go
  4. Click on the link for the desired operating system.
  5. Find the desired software/driver and click Download to download to your PC.
  6. Use the Installation Instructions to install the software/driver.
