HP 2310t Touchscreen LCD Monitors - Setting Up Your Monitor

  caution:

The screen is fragile. Avoid touching or applying pressure to the LCD screen; doing so can cause damage.

1. Place the monitor screen down on a flat, soft, protected surface.
2. Align the monitor neck with the base.
3. Secure the base to the monitor with the locking screw, making sure that the base is securely attached.

4. To adjust the monitor, face the front of the monitor and hold the base with one hand.
5. Adjust the tilt by moving the monitor top edge toward or away from you, without touching the screen. You can adjust the display's viewing angle from -5° to 20°.

To reduce the risk of electric shock or damage to your equipment:

• Do not disable the power cord grounding plug. The grounding plug is an important safety feature. Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
• Be sure the grounded power outlet you plug the power cord into is easily accessible to the operator and located as close to the equipment as possible. Route the power code to prevent objects being placed on it or someone walking on it.
• Do not place anything on power cords or cables. Arrange them so that no one accidentally steps on or trips over them. Do not pull on a cord or cable.

1. Turn off the computer.
2. Connect one end of the power cord into the AC power connector on the back of the display, and the other end to an electrical outlet.

3. Connect one end of the audio cable to the audio-in connector on the back of the display, and the other end of the cable to the audio-out jack on the computer.
4. Connect the video signal cable.

   • For analog operation, use the VGA cable. Connect one end of the 15-pin VGA signal cable to the VGA connector on the back of the monitor, and connect the other end to the computer VGA port.
   • For digital operation, use the DVI-D cable. Connect one end of the 24-pin DVI cable to the back of the monitor and connect the other end to the computer DVI port.
5. Connect one end of the USB cable to the USB connector on the display, and the other end of the USB cable to the computer.

   note:

   The USB cable is required for touch screen operation.

6. Turn on your monitor and computer.

1. Press the Menu button on the front of the monitor until the Other menu displays.
2. Select Input, and use the Left or Right arrow buttons on the monitor to choose Analog (D-sub) or Digital (DVI-D).
3. When finished, press AUTO to exit from the OSD screen.

• Unplug your monitor from the wall outlet before cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners. Use a damp cloth for cleaning. If the screen requires additional cleaning, use an antistatic screen cleaner.
• Do not open your monitor or attempt to service this product yourself. Adjust only those controls that are covered in the operating instructions. If your monitor is not operating properly, or has been dropped or damaged, contact your HP authorized dealer, reseller, or service provider.
• Use only a power source and connection appropriate for this monitor, as indicated on the label/back plate of the monitor.
• Never disconnect the monitor by pulling the cord. Unplug the power cord from the power outlet by grasping the plug firmly.
• Turn your monitor off when not in use. You can substantially increase the life expectancy of your monitor by using a screen saver program and turning off the monitor when not in use.
• When removing the monitor base, place the monitor face down on a soft flat area to prevent it from getting scratched, defaced, or broken.
• Burn-in image damage might occur on monitors that display the same static image on screen for a prolonged period of time. To avoid burn-in image damage on your monitor screen, always activate a screen saver application or turn off the monitor when it is not in use for a prolonged period of time.
