HP+ printers - Unable to print from Apps after updating Windows

After updating Windows with KB5008215 or KB5008212, a print job sent from a Universal Windows Platform app does not print.

Microsoft released KB5010415 (Windows 10) and KB5010414 (Windows 11) to fix the issue. Run Windows Update again to fix the problem.

This document applies to the following printers:

  • HP DeskJet 2700e, 4100e printers

  • HP ENVY 6000e, 6400e printers

  • HP ENVY Inspire 7200e, 7900e printers

  • HP LaserJet M109e-M112e printers

  • HP LaserJet MFP M139e-M142e printers

  • HP LaserJet MFP M232e-M237e printers

  • HP OfficeJet Pro 8010e, 8020e printers

  • HP OfficeJet Pro 9010e, 9020e, 9030e printers

  • HP Smart Tank 670, 710, 720, 750, 790 printers

  • HP Smart Tank 6000, 7000, 7300, 7600 printers

  • HP Roam for Business

Run Windows Update

To prevent printing issues, make sure your computer has the latest updates installed.

  1. In Windows, search for and open Check for updates.

If there are any available updates, they begin automatically.

  2. After the updates install, restart your computer when prompted.
