HP Scanjet 4370 Photo Scanner - Scanned Document Appears Upside Down when Saved in .pdf Format

Issue:
When documents are scanned (particularly with non English, and scripts not listed in the Optical Character Recognition languages) and saved as PDF (Searchable) (*.pdf) file type they appear to be upside down or an inverted image.
Solution
The OCR software is installed automatically when the HP Scanning software is installed during scanner setup. When the scanned document is saved as PDF(searchable), Optical Character Recognition (OCR)becomes active, and that recognizes individual letters as the scan takes place, instead of interpreting the entire page as an image. OCR can not distinguish characters of original document with scripts not listed in OCR languages. Therefore, it sometimes saves the document upside down , because Automatically straighten scanned images is on by default, though Preview is normal. So to avoid this, use the PDF file type and not searchable PDF or other file format.
