HP iPAQ 500 Voice Messenger Series - Using HP Bizmail, Voice Recorder and MS Office Applications

Using HP Bizmail

Using your iPAQ, you can sign-up a subscription for an hosted exchange e-mail service. Your subscription to HP Bizmail will allow you and the members of your group or organization to access several hosted exchange services in a cost-effective manner.
  1. Press Start > HP Bizmail.
  2. Click the link to download the pre-Setup Wizard. The pre-Setup Wizard will automatically launch the Setup Wizard.
  3. Enter the number of mail boxes you want to subscribe for.
  4. Enter the type of access you require. You can either choose ActiveSync, IMAP, POP as your access type
  5. Enter you preferred domain name.
If the requested domain name is available, your Solution Provider will generate an authorization code, which will be sent to you in an e-mail message. Using the authorization code, you can subscribe access rights for other members in your group or organization. After the new user activation is completed, you will be able to access your e-mail messages directly from your iPAQ using wireless connections.

Using Voice Recorder

You can use the voice recording feature of your iPAQ to record voice clips, and use them as a voice note in your e-mail's or MMS's.
To record voice clips:
  1. Press Start > More > Voice Recorder.
  2. Press Record to start recording a voice clip. Press Menu > Play to play the recorded voice clip.
  3. To delete or rename the voice clip, press Menu > Rename/Delete.
  4. Press Menu > Set as Ringtone to set the voice clip as your iPAQ ringtone.

Using MS Office Applications

To use MS Excel applications
  1. Press Start > Office Mobile > Excel Mobile.
  2. Navigate to select the file, and then press the Action button to open the file.
  3. Press Menu > Edit Mode to edit.
  4. Press Menu > Save As and enter the name. Select the location for the file and press Save.
To use MS Word applications
  1. Press Start > Office Mobile > Word Mobile.
  2. Navigate to select the file, and then press the Action button to open the file.
  3. Press Menu > Edit Mode to edit.
  4. Press Menu > Save As and enter the name. Select the location for the file and press Save.
To use MS PowerPoint applications
  1. Press Start > Office Mobile > PowerPoint Mobile.
  2. Navigate to select the file, and then press the Action button to open the file.
  3. Press Menu > Edit Mode to edit.
  4. Press Menu > Save As and enter the name. Select the location for the file and press Save.
