    HP is aware of the recent class of vulnerabilities referred to as “speculative execution side-channel attacks”. HP has released a security bulletin for systems with Intel x86 processor, and will continue to provide more information on other processors (ARM, AMD) as it becomes available.

HP Compaq Business Notebook nc6000 Series - Removing the Real-Time Clock (RTC) Battery

  1. Prepare the notebook for disassembly.
  2. Remove the following components in the order listed:
    1. Keyboard
    2. Memory shield
    3. Switch cover
    4. Keyboard plate
    5. Fan assembly
    6. Heat sink
    7. Display assembly
    8. Top cover
  3. Turn the top cover upside down, with the front facing you.
  4. Lift the RTC battery out of the top cover clip.
