Effective April 28, 2023, HP is enhancing the BIOS on the HP 2020 notebook PCs.

The new software and BIOS updates are available for download from the HP Software and Driver Downloads page after the effective date.

HP EliteBook x360 1040/1030 G7 Notebook PC System BIOS has the following enhancements added:

  • Fixes issue when the system cannot create POST Power-On Password, on selecting "Create POST Power-On Password" and entering the pin provided by the "Phone App", after creating the BIOS Administrator Password with EBAM.

  • Updates the Intel i225-V EFI Driver to 0.10.5 for compatibility enhancement.

  • Enhancement to address security vulnerability CVE-2022-33894.

  • Updates the Intel silicon MCU for compatibility enhancement.

  • Add ExtendedDHCPTimeout support in BIOS setup menu.

  • Enhancement to address security vulnerabilities CVE-2022-3602 and CVE-2022-3786.

  • Enhancement to address security vulnerabilities CVE-2022-27635, CVE-2022-40964, CVE-2022-46329, CVE-2022-36351, and CVE-2022-38076.
