Under certain conditions, log files are being saved in the C:\HP\footprints folder. These log files use unnecessary storage space and can slow down device performance. Use this procedure to resolve this issue and improve device performance.
To resolve this issue, a driver update is being released through Windows Update. You can also update the driver manually.
Download the driver.
If you are in China, download the Chinese driver.
Install the driver, and then restart your computer.
Delete the C:\HP\footprints folder.
After you complete this procedure, no new footprints log files are created.
