Samsung Xpress MFP SL-M2070, SL-M2071 - Loading Paper in the Tray

  1. Open the tray. Then, adjust the tray size to the media size being loading, see Tray overview.

  2. Flex or fan the edge of the paper stack to separate the pages before loading papers.

  3. Place the paper with the side to print facing up.

      note:
    • Do not push the paper width guide too far causing the media to warp.
    • Do not use a paper with a leading-edge curl, it might cause a paper jam or the paper can be wrinkled.
    • Not adjusting the paper width guide might cause paper jams.

  4. Squeeze the paper width guide and slide it to the edge of the paper stack without causing it to bend.

  5. When printing a document, set the paper type and size for the tray. See Setting the paper size and type.
Manual feeding in the tray
The tray can hold special sizes and types of print material, such as postcards, note cards, and envelopes. See Print media specifications.
Tips on using the manual feeding in the tray
  • Select Paper > Source > Manual Feeder from the printer driver, then each time a page prints press OK.
  • Load only one type, size and weight of print media at time in the in the tray.
  • To prevent paper jams, do not add paper while printing when there is still paper in the tray.
  • Load print media face up with the top edge going into the tray first and placed in the center of the tray.
  • To make sure printing quality and to prevent paper jams, only load the available paper. See Print media specifications.
  • Flatten any curl on postcards, envelopes, and labels before loading them into the in the tray.
  • When printing on special media, follow the loading guidelines is required. See Printing on special media.
