DESCRIPTION
The notebook cannot connect to a wireless Access Point (AP) with the HP Connection Manager when both the Broadcom Wireless Utility and the HP Connection manager are installed at the same time.
This issue only occurs in notebooks with Microsoft Windows XP.

RESOLUTION
This issue is the result of the Broadcom utility inadvertently disabling certain key program files in Windows XP which are required by the HP Connection Manager.
To resolve this issue, do one of the following:
  • Connect to the wireless Access Point (AP) using the Broadcom utility; or,
  • Uninstall the Broadcom utility, then use the HP Connection Manager to connect to the AP.
  • Uninstall Broadcomm Utility first, then use HP Connection Manager to connect wireless AP.
