HP Designjet 650c Model B - Controlling the Appearance of Overlapping Lines

To control the appearance of overlapping lines on the HP Designjet 650c Model B printer, following the instructions below:
  1. From the Status screen, press ENTER.
  2. Press the UP arrow twice to scroll to Pen settings, and then press ENTER.
  3. Scroll to Merge control and press ENTER.
  4. The front panel displays the current setting.
  5. Press ENTER.
  6. Use the UP or DOWN arrow to scroll to the desired setting (on or off) and press ENTER.
These settings will only apply for programs that do not send merge control commands. If the printer receives the merge control commands, from either the software or the driver, it will ignore the front panel settings.
Merge on means intersecting lines will overlap colors, off means that only the color of the line printed last will be visible at the intersection.
