The HP Deskjet Control Panel for DOS is software that replaces the front panel switches found on older HP Deskjet printers. The Control Panel is not a printer driver; it must be used along with the DOS software's printer drivers. When there is no specific printer driver available in a program for the printer being used, the Control Panel allows access to some print settings and features that may not be available through the DOS program. If settings are available in both the DOS program's printer settings and the Control Panel, the settings made in the DOS program should override those made in the Control Panel.
note:The Control Panel does not support many of the special printing features available from the Windows printer driver. For more information, see the online help.
