HP LaserJet Enterprise MFP, HP OfficeJet Enterprise MFP, HP PageWide Enterprise MFP - Copy or scan a document into a booklet format

Follow these steps if your printer has a FutureSmart 3 touchscreen control panel.

Copying a Document to Booklet Format on HP Enterprise MFPs - FutureSmart 3

Learn how to print multiple pages on one sheet of paper to fold into a booklet using the Booklet option on HP Enterprise printers.

1. Place the document face-up in the document feeder, and adjust the paper guides to fit the size of the document.

2. From the Home screen on the printer control panel, touch the Copy button.

3. Touch the More Options button until the Booklet option displays, and then touch Booklet.

4. On the Booklet screen, touch the check box next to Booklet Format.

5. To set the size of the original document, touch the Original Size button, touch the paper size that corresponds with the size of the original document, and then touch OK.

6. To set the sides output, touch the Sides button, touch one of the available options, and then touch OK.

7. To choose the size of the output paper, touch the Paper Selection button, touch the desired option, and then touch OK.

   Note:

   The printer will enlarge or reduce the print image to fit the selected paper. Choose a paper twice the size of the original to print a folded copy that is the same size as the original page when the sheet is folded in half.

   For example, if the original document is 279 x 216 mm, select paper that is 279 x 432 mm so that when the paper is folded in half it will be the same size as the original.

8. Touch the Start button to begin copying the document.

   Note:

   It might take over a minute to process the job before printing begins.

9. Fold the paper into a booklet.

Learn how to copy a document to booklet format using the Booklet option on HP Enterprise MFPs.

1. Place the document face-up in the document feeder, and adjust the paper guides to fit the size of the document.

2. From the Home screen on the printer control panel, touch Copy, and then touch the Options button.

3. In the list of Options, scroll to and touch Booklet, and then select the check box next to Booklet Format.

   For margins around the content, touch the check box next to Borders on each page, and then touch Done.

4. Select settings for the following items in the Options menu. Touch Done for each item, if prompted.

   • Sides

   • Content Orientation

   • Paper Selection (size of the output paper)

     Note:

     The printer will enlarge or reduce the print image to fit the selected paper. Choose a paper twice the size of the original to print a folded copy that is the same size as the original page when the sheet is folded in half.

     For example, if the original document is 279 x 216 mm, select paper that is 279 x 432 mm so that when the paper is folded in half it will be the same size as the original.

5. Touch Copy to begin copying.

   Note:

1. Place the document face-up in the document feeder, and adjust the paper guides to fit the size of the document.

2. From the Home screen on the printer control panel, scroll to and touch the Save to Device Memory button.

   Note:

   If prompted, enter your user name and password.

3. Select an existing folder, or touch the New Folder button to create a new folder.

4. Enter the name for the file in the File Name field.

5. Touch the More Options button until the Booklet option displays, and then touch Booklet.

6. On the Booklet screen, touch the check box next to Booklet Format.

7. To set the size of the original document, touch Original Size, select the paper size, and then touch OK.

8. To set the sides output, touch the Sides button, select one of the available options, and then touch OK.

   Note:

   To set the output orientation, touch the Orientation button and select one of the available options. Touch the OK button to return to the Sides menu.

9. To choose the size of the output paper, touch the Paper Selection button, select the size of the paper, and then touch OK.

   The printer will enlarge or reduce the print image to fit the selected paper. Choose a paper twice the size of the original to print a folded copy that is the same size as the original page when the sheet is folded in half.

10. Touch the Start button to begin scanning the document.

Follow these steps if your printer has a FutureSmart 4 or 5 touchscreen control panel.

1. Place the document face-up in the document feeder, and adjust the paper guides to fit the size of the document.

2. From the Home screen on the printer control panel, touch Scan, and then touch Scan to Job Storage.

   Note:

   If prompted, enter your user name and password.

3. Under Folder, select the default storage folder.

   Or, if the printer administrator has configured the option, you can create a new folder. Follow these steps to create a new folder:

   1. Touch the New Folder icon .

   2. Touch the New Folder field to open a touch keypad, type a name for the folder, and then touch OK.

4. Make sure that you have selected the correct folder.

5. Touch the Job Name field to open the touch keypad, type a name for the job, and then touch OK.

6. Touch Options in the lower right corner, and then scroll to and touch Booklet.

7. On the right side of the screen, touch the check box next to Booklet Format.

   For margins around the content, touch the check box next to Borders on each page.

   Touch Done to save the settings.

8. Select settings for the following items in the Options menu. Touch Done for each item, if prompted.

   • To set the size of the original document, touch Original Size, and then select the paper size of the original document.

   • To set the sides output, touch Sides, and then select one of the available options.

   • To choose the size of the output paper, touch Paper Selection, and then select the size of paper for the output.

     The printer will enlarge or reduce the print image to fit the selected paper. Choose a paper twice the size of the original to print a folded copy that is the same size as the original page when the sheet is folded in half.

9. Touch Save to begin scanning the document. Follow the prompts on the control panel to scan additional pages.
