Use the Booklet Format feature to copy or scan two or more pages onto the front and back of one sheet of paper. The printer arranges the pages in the correct order.
For example, if the original document has four pages, the printer prints pages 1 and 4 on the same side of the page (see the figures below). Doing so allows you to fold the printed pages in the center to form a booklet.
The printer does not fold or staple the pages when using the Booklet Format feature.

If you choose the copy option, the printer will copy the pages and then immediately print the pages in the booklet format.
If you choose the scan option, the printer will scan the pages into a booklet format and save the file in the printer memory to be shared or printed at a later time.

Find your printer control-panel type in the options below, and then follow the steps to copy a document into a booklet format.
Follow these steps if your printer has a FutureSmart 3 touchscreen control panel.

Place the document face-up in the document feeder, and adjust the paper guides to fit the size of the document.
From the Home screen on the printer control panel, touch the Copy button.
Touch the More Options button until the Booklet option displays, and then touch Booklet.
On the Booklet screen, touch the check box next to Booklet Format.
To set the size of the original document, touch the Original Size button, touch the paper size that corresponds with the size of the original document, and then touch OK.
To set the sides output, touch the Sides button, touch one of the available options, and then touch OK.
To choose the size of the output paper, touch the Paper Selection button, touch the desired option, and then touch OK.
The printer will enlarge or reduce the print image to fit the selected paper. Choose a paper twice the size of the original to print a folded copy that is the same size as the original page when the sheet is folded in half.
For example, if the original document is 279 x 216 mm, select paper that is 279 x 432 mm so that when the paper is folded in half it will be the same size as the original.
Touch the Start button to begin copying the document.
It might take over a minute to process the job before printing begins.
Fold the paper into a booklet.

For margins around the content, touch the check box next to Borders on each page, and then touch Done.

Follow these steps if your printer has a FutureSmart 3 touchscreen control panel.
Place the document face-up in the document feeder, and adjust the paper guides to fit the size of the document.
From the Home screen on the printer control panel, scroll to and touch the Save to Device Memory button.
If prompted, enter your user name and password.
Select an existing folder, or touch the New Folder button to create a new folder.
Enter the name for the file in the File Name field.
Touch the More Options button until the Booklet option displays, and then touch Booklet.
On the Booklet screen, touch the check box next to Booklet Format.
To set the size of the original document, touch Original Size, select the paper size, and then touch OK.
To set the sides output, touch the Sides button, select one of the available options, and then touch OK.
To set the output orientation, touch the Orientation button and select one of the available options. Touch the OK button to return to the Sides menu.
To choose the size of the output paper, touch the Paper Selection button, select the size of the paper, and then touch OK.
The printer will enlarge or reduce the print image to fit the selected paper. Choose a paper twice the size of the original to print a folded copy that is the same size as the original page when the sheet is folded in half.
Touch the Start button to begin scanning the document.

From the Home screen on the printer control panel, touch Scan, and then touch Scan to Job Storage.
If prompted, enter your user name and password.
Under Folder, select the default storage folder.
Or, if the printer administrator has configured the option, you can create a new folder. Follow these steps to create a new folder:
Touch the New Folder icon .
Touch the New Folder field to open a touch keypad, type a name for the folder, and then touch OK.
Make sure that you have selected the correct folder.
Touch the Job Name field to open the touch keypad, type a name for the job, and then touch OK.
Touch Options in the lower right corner, and then scroll to and touch Booklet.
On the right side of the screen, touch the check box next to Booklet Format.
For margins around the content, touch the check box next to Borders on each page.
Touch Done to save the settings.
Select settings for the following items in the Options menu. Touch Done for each item, if prompted.

To set the sides output, touch Sides, and then select one of the available options.
