HP Tango Printers - Button and Light Features

This document is for HP Tango and Tango X printers.
Use the printer buttons to resume or cancel print jobs, print self-test pages, or change wireless settings. Identify printer status and error states by the color of the Edge lighting.
Animation of buttons and lights on the printer
1. Paper Input light: Shows where to insert paper, and lights up when there is a paper error.
2. Ink Door button and light: Allows access to the ink cartridge area and lights up when there is an ink cartridge error.
3. Edge lighting: Changes colors based on printer status and error states:
  • Amber: Indicates an error state.
  • Blue: When solid, indicates a wireless connection. When flashing, indicates the printer is not connected to a network.
  • Green: Indicates the printer firmware is updating or the printer is turning on.
4. Cancel button and light: Cancels a print job.
5. Information button and light: Puts the printer into Support Mode, which allows you to use the control panel buttons to print self-test pages.
6. Resume button and light: Resumes a print job after recovery from an error state.
7. Power button: Turns the printer on or off.
8. Wi-Fi button: Controls wireless functionality:
  • A short press enables or disables a wireless connection.
  • A 5-second press restores the printer’s default network settings and initiates setup mode for 2 hours.
