DESCRIPTION
If the battery charge level falls below 1%, USB-C port 1 will not recognize the AC adapter and so the computer will not power on (but it will charge). The computer can be powered from USB-C port 0 or, using port 1, after the battery charge rises above 2%.

SCOPE
Information in this document applies to the following:
Computers:
HP EliteBook 1040 G4 Notebook PC
RESOLUTION
Wait until the battery has charged for at least 2% (takes about 1 minute) and then the computer can be powered on with the charger connected to USB-C port 1 (or port 0).
Move the AC adapter to USB-C port 0 and the computer can be powered on even while the battery charge is below 2%.
