Use the following procedure to check for paper in all possible jam locations related to Tray 2 or Tray 3. When a jam occurs, the control panel displays a message and an animation that assists in clearing the jam.

  • 13.A8.D3 Jam in tray 3
In addition to the instructions provided in this document, you can view the following video of how to clear a paper jam in tray 2 or tray 3:
  caution:
The fuser can be hot while the printer is in use. Wait for the fuser to cool before handling it.
note:
The procedure to clear a paper jam in Tray 3 is the same as for Tray 2. Only Tray 2 is shown here.
  1. Open the right door.
    Figure : Open the right door
  2. Gently remove any jammed paper from inside the right door.

  3. Close the right door.
    Figure : Close the right door
  4. Open the tray.
    Figure : Open the tray
  5. Gently remove any jammed paper or damaged sheets from the tray.
    Figure : Remove jammed paper from the tray
  6. Close the tray. Printing automatically resumes.
