Prior to upgrading ThinPro4.x or Smart Zero Core 4.x to ThinPro50xxx or Smart Zero Core50xxx, Softpaq SP66784 must be applied. Failure to do so will result in a system lockup after reboot.

ThinPro ThinState Addon (Service Pack) for 4.x

To install update for Smart Zero Core4.4.x:
- Double click SP66784.
- Browse to the folder C:\hptc-addons\ThinState_patch_1.0\softpaq
- Copy the file hptc-thinstate-5.0-patch_1.0_i386.deb to C:\Program Files (x86)\Hewlett-Packard\HP Smart Client Service\auto-update\Packages folder.
- When the system is turned on or restarted, the patch will be applied.
- The client can now be upgraded to ThinPro T6X50xxx.
To install ThinPro4.4.x update files:
- Use the installer to deploy files to the server.
- Copy the add-on from the appropriate directory to the "/tmp" directory.
- On the system to be upgraded, run the command as follows:
dpkg -i /tmp/hptc-thinstate-5.0-patch_1.0_i386.deb - Restart the affected system.
NOTE: If a system upgrade was performed without the SoftPaq update, the system must be restored via USB. Restore image is available at
www.hp.com
