Pairing the Bluetooth speaker

Adding the Bluetooth speaker manually

This document applies to HP Bluetooth speakers.

This includes general instructions on how to connect your portable wireless Bluetooth speaker to a Bluetooth compatible device.

Pairing the Bluetooth speaker

Use these steps to automatically pair the speaker with your Bluetooth or NFC compatible device.

Step1:

Connect the AC adapter for the speaker to the wall outlet.

Step 2:

Turn on speakers.

Step 3:

Enable Bluetooth on your device. To receive the NFC signal, place your NFC device within the NFC sensor area.

Step 4:

Press any button on the top panel of the speaker to activate the buttons.

Step 5:

Press the Bluetooth pairing button

. The Bluetooth light blinks rapidly. The speaker plays two beeps when the speaker is paired correctly.

note:

The speaker becomes idle if pairing is not successful within 2.5 minutes. You must repeat the pairing process if this happens.

Step 6:

Verify that your device pairs with the speaker. If the system requests a pass code during the pairing process, enter 0000.

note:

You may also use an optional audio cable to connect the speaker to your device.

Adding the Bluetooth speaker manually

If the speaker does not automatically pair with your Bluetooth enabled device, follow these steps to add the speaker manually.

Click on Start and select Control Panel.
Under Control Panel select Hardware and Sound, then Add a device.
Select the HP bluetooth Speaker from the list.
