HP Displays - HP Display Manager
HP Display Manager allows you to manage multiple monitors.
Get started with HP Display Manager
HP Display Manager allows you to manage settings for multiple displays throughout an organization through a single web portal.
HP Display Manager communicates with monitors connected to individual workstations via DDC/CI or USB. The three main component of HP Display Manager are as follows:

Host components: These components manage the services on the host machine and communicates with the connected monitors.

Server application: This facilitates communication between the host components and the web application.

Web application: The online web portal you interact with.
Manage users and sign-in settings
Use these instructions to manage users and change sign-in settings.
Change export settings
Use these instructions to change what data is included in the export CSV file.

Click the gear icon in the upper right corner of the screen.

Find the Exchange Excel Data section.

Check or remove the selection from the check boxes next to the settings to customize what data is included in the export CSV file.

Click Apply to save the changes.
Find monitor information in HP Display Manager
The dashboard tab provides informative charts about the Display Status, Manufacturer, Backlight age and Year of Manufacture of the monitors connected to HP Display Manager.

Display Status: Displays the number of monitors currently connected to HP Display Manager.

Manufacturer: Displays the manufacturers of the connected monitors.
-
Backlight age: Displays the backlight ages of the connected monitors. Monitors with an older backlight age can experience reduction in clarity and brightness.

Year of Manufacture: Displays date ranges for the years the monitors were made and how many monitors fall into those date ranges.
To change the chart type between pie chart and bar graph, click the three dots on the upper-right side of the dashboard, and then click Switch.
Customize the dashboard
Use these instructions to change what charts you see in the Dashboard tab.

Click the gear icon in the upper right corner of the screen.

Click Add/Remove Categories.

Click the charts you want to see in the Dashboard tab.

Click Apply to save the changes.

Schedule shutdown time and update firmware in HP Display Manager
The following are a few of the procedures you can use to manage displays in HP Display Manager.
Schedule shutdown time
Follow these steps to automatically turn off monitors at a predetermined date and time.

In the Display Status tab, select the monitors for which you want to schedule the shutdown time.

Select Screen Adjust from the options located at the bottom of the monitor list.

In the Power Settings tab, set a time in the Start Time box.

Select the days that you want the monitors to turn off at the time you entered.

In the Schedule End Date section, enter the date you want to stop the automatic shutdown schedule, or select the check box for None if you do not want to set a date.
Update monitor firmware
Follow these steps to update the firmware on a monitor.

Save the firmware update to a shared network location.

On the Display Status tab, select the monitors to which you want to apply the firmware update.

Click Advanced.

Find the Firmware Update section.

Enter the folder path into the entry box.

Click Update to complete the firmware update.

In the Maintenance tab, you can view and remove disconnected monitors, create a profile, and create tags.

- What are the prerequisites for installation?

InstallShield installer requires the following to install HP Display Manager:

Windows 10 or Windows Server 2019/2016/2012 R2.

Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.2.
Note:If this is not present in the target system, the installer will install it during run time.

MySQL
Note:If MySQL is not installed for the HP Display Manager Service (Server), the InstallShield installer prompts you to allow the installation of Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable Package(x64) and Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable Package(x64). These two redistributable packages are prerequisites for the installation of MySQL community 5.7.27.
