HP LaserJet M207-M212 printers - Printing reports and self-test pages

A Configuration Report contains information about the printer, such as, the serial number, paper settings, and printer usage. Wi-Fi printer models also include information about the printer IP address and the network name (SSID). You can print a Configuration Report from the control panel.

1. Turn on the printer.

2. Press and hold the Information button for three seconds until all buttons light up.

3. Press the Resume button .

   Note:

   For M211d, press and hold the Resume button for three seconds to print the Configuration Report.

Print a Wireless Network Test Report to find diagnostics results for the status of the Wi-Fi network, Wi-Fi signal strength, and detected networks. You can print a Wireless Network Test Report from the control panel.

1. Turn on the printer.

2. Press and hold the Information button for three seconds until all buttons light up.

3. Press the Information button and the Resume button at the same time.

Print an Adjust Alignment Test Page to center the print image on the page.

1. Open HP Smart and select your printer.

2. Click Advanced settings.

   Note:

   For Windows 7 and 8, open HP Printer Assistant, select Print, and then click Printer Home Page (EWS).

3. Click System > Service.

4. In the Adjust Alignment section, from the Tray 1 Size drop-down list, select the size, and then enter the values for X1 Shift, X2 Shift, and Y Shift.

5. Click Print Test Page.
