HP LaserJet Enterprise MFP, HP OfficeJet Enterprise MFP, HP PageWide Enterprise MFP - Set up fax

Follow these steps if your printer has a FutureSmart 3 touchscreen control panel.

1. From the Home screen on the printer control panel, scroll to and touch Administration.

2. Open the following menus:

   1. Fax Settings

   2. Fax Send Settings

   3. Fax Send Setup

   4. Fax Setup Wizard

   Note:

   If the Fax Settings menu item is not listed, LAN or Internet fax might be enabled. When LAN or Internet fax is enabled, the analog fax accessory is disabled and the Fax Settings menu does not display. Only one fax feature, either LAN fax, analog fax, or Internet fax, can be enabled at a time. To use analog fax when LAN fax is enabled, use the HP Embedded Web Server to disable LAN fax.

3. Follow the steps in the Fax Setup Wizard to configure the required settings.

Follow these steps if your printer has a FutureSmart 4 touchscreen control panel.

1. From the Home screen on the printer control panel, navigate to and touch Settings.

2. Open the following menus:

   1. Fax

   2. Internal Fax Modem Setup

      Note:

      If the Internal Fax Modem Setup menu item is not listed, LAN or Internet fax might be enabled. When LAN or Internet fax is enabled, the analog fax accessory is disabled and the Internal Fax Modem Setup menu does not display. Only one fax feature, either LAN fax, analog fax, or Internet fax, can be enabled at a time. To use analog fax when LAN fax is enabled, use the HP Embedded Web Server to disable LAN fax.

3. On the right side of the screen, select your country (where the fax will be used), and then touch Next.

4. Touch the Company Name field to open a touch keypad, enter the company name, and then touch OK.

5. Touch the Fax Number field to open a touch keypad, enter the sending fax number, and then touch Next.

6. Verify that the date and time settings are correct. Make changes as necessary, and then touch Next.

7. If a dialing prefix is required for sending faxes, touch the Dialing Prefix field to open a touch keypad, enter the prefix, touch OK, and then touch Next.

8. Review all the information on the screen and verify that it is accurate, and then touch Finish to complete the fax setup.

9. To configure additional fax settings (such as Fax Send Settings, Fax Receive Settings, and Fax Forwarding), touch the menu item, and then select the desired settings from each menu.
