From the control panel, you can cancel print jobs, make copies, and view the network connection status (network models only).
1. ID Copy: Copy both sides of an identification card on a single side of paper.
2. Contrast: Lighten or darken copies.
3. Scale: Enlarge or reduce the size of a copy job.
4. Information button or
Wireless button: Use the Information button to get printer information or use the Wireless button to open the
wireless menu.
5. Control panel display: Displays the number of copies, printer function menus, and printer information.
6. Status LED lights: Indicates the printer is ready to print, is receiving print data, canceling a print job, or the printer requires user attention.
7. Fax: Opens the Fax menu.
8. Copy: Opens the
copy
menu.
9. Scan: Opens the scan menu.
10. Menu: Opens the printer menu options to change printer preferences or print printer reports.
11. OK: Opens the control panel menus or confirms a menu selection.
12. Left arrow and
Right arrow: Navigates menus or decreases a value on the display, such as the number of copies.
13. Back: Exits a menu or returns to a previous menu.
14. Numeric Keypad: Enter the number of copies or fax numbers.
15. Address Book: Opens the fax address menu.
16. Redial/Pause: Redial the last fax number.
17. On Hook: Starts a fax job.
18. Cancel: Cancels a print job, resets copy settings, or exits the control panel menus.
19. Power: Turns the printer on or off.
20. Start: Starts a copy job.
