HP LaserJet Enterprise MFP, HP PageWide Enterprise MFP - Copy or scan pages from books or other bound documents (FutureSmart 4)

Introduction

The Copy feature and the Scan feature on your printer control panel include a Book option to copy or scan single or facing pages from a bound original document, such as a book. The scanned pages are saved as individual images and arranged in the correct order, as in the original document. The printer scans the opened book, prompts to turn the page, and then scans again. You repeat this procedure until all the desired content has been scanned.
The Book option creates scanned images that are letter or A4 size and does not increase or decrease the image scale to fit the paper. If the original document is larger than the paper, the Book option crops the scanned images.
note:
The document must be bound on the left edge, and the feature does not work with the front and back covers.

Book Placement

Place the book on the scanner glass with the top edge of the book along the rear of the scanner glass. Align the spine with the book symbol along the rear edge.
  caution:
Some types of bindings, such as certain spiral bindings, can damage the protective covering on the flatbed cover. Close the scanner lid carefully.
