Samsung Laser Printers - How to Setup a Wired Network Connection in Windows

Learn how to install the print driver and setup a wired network connection.
If you have not installed the print driver yet, go to Software and Driver Downloads and enter your model printer into the search text box to download the latest driver.
Use the following steps to install the print driver and setup a wired network connection.
  1. Connect the ethernet cable to the back of the router, and then connect the other end of the ethernet cable to your printer.
  2. Once the connections are made, launch the printer driver setup by double-clicking on the .exe file you downloaded from the support center.
    If you have not installed the print driver yet, go to Software and Driver Downloads and enter your model printer into the search text box to download the latest driver.
  3. Check the box to agree to the installation agreements, and then click Next.

  4. Select Network connection as the installation type, and then click Next.

  5. For initial setup, select Yes, I will set up my printer's network, and then click Next.

  6. Make sure the printer is powered on, and the network cable is connected from the printer into the router.

  7. The wizard searches for available printers. If the printer is not found, check the ethernet connection between the printer and router and make sure the printer is powered on.

  8. Discoverable printers display on the window. Select your printer if more than one appears, and then click Next to continue.
    note:
    If you want the port name to be the same as the IP address, select the box next to Set the port as IP address.

  9. Select the boxes, if not already selected, to select the software, and then click Next to continue.

  10. The print driver loading screen displays progress bar.

  11. After the software installs, select the box next to Print a test page, and then click Finish to confirm the printer is connected properly.

If Start Easy Eco Driver before printing job is selected, before every print job the Easy Eco Driver software shows a preview of what your printing and allows toner/paper option adjustments.
