HP LaserJet Enterprise M604, M605, M606 - Install the optional custom media tray

Install the optional custom media tray

This document provides the procedure to install the custom media tray for the HP LaserJet Enterprise M604, M605, M606 models.

Pull Tray 2 out, slightly lift up, and then pull it completely out of the printer to remove it.

note:
Do not throw away Tray 2.

Remove the packaging material from the tray.

Open the paper-width guides at the side of the tray.

Open the paper-length guide at the rear of the tray.

Load paper into the tray. Check the paper to verify the guides lightly touch the stack, but do not bend it.

Verify the top of the stack is below the tray full indicator.

Lift the tray up slightly and install the back edge of the tray into the tray cavity. Lower the tray, and then slide it into the printer.

Complete the following steps to configure the Custom media tray:
1. Press the Home button on the printer control panel.
2. Open the following menus:
  - Administration
  - Manage Trays
  - Tray 2 Model
3. Select Custom Tray.
4. Press OK.
