RESOLUTION
The computer needs the HP UEFI Support Environment to be installed. Complete the following steps to resolve the issue:
  1. Connect a USB drive to the computer.
  2. Select the download link for the following SoftPaq, the arrow next to Save, then select Save As.

    A more recent version of this software may be available. Check for newer versions at http://www.hp.com/.
  3. In the Save window, double click the USB drive in the menu on the left side.
  4. Select Save.
  5. Disconnect the USB drive.
  6. Connect the USB drive to the computer.
  7. Select Start, then Devices and Printers.
  8. Double click the USB drive.
  9. Double click the SoftPaq, then install the SoftPaq according to onscreen instructions.
  10. Restart the computer, then immediately press F2 after powering on the computer to update the BIOS.
