The latest HP LaserJet print drivers are built into Apple’s Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. They are also included in Apple’s Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard DVD and available via Apple Software Updates. You do not need to download or reinstall any HP drivers or software for print functionality.
note:
There is no HP Print Utility support for select devices. To administer all networked HP LaserJet printers, use the Embedded Web Server by typing the printer IP address in the address bar of any web browser. Or, From Safari – open the Bonjour tab under the book icon pull down menu and select the printer.
To update a Mac using the Snow Leopard DVD, follow these steps:

Insert the Snow Leopard DVD that came with your Mac OS X 10.6.

Connect the computer to the printer using a USB cable.

Wait while the previous HP printer queue is detected, deleted, and then updated automatically by using the latest HP printer drivers included in Snow Leopard.This process will create a new HP printer queue in Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard.
