HP Designjet HD Scanners - Scanner Hangs While Scanning Any Document

Issue

The scanner hangs when scan and if user does not eject the document.
In the HP Designjet T1200 HD Multifunction Printer and HP Designjet T1100 MFP, the scanner hang when the user scan any documents and when finish the scan, the document is not ejected. In some cases, the image shows in touch screen and some times shows only a black line.
This problem occurred in the earlier version to version 18.12 of the Scanner Software.

Solution

Follow the steps:
  1. Recover the Scanner Software:
    1. Press the Exit button.
    2. Insert the Recovery DVD and turn on the panel PC.
    3. Confirm to shut down the system.
    4. The Recovery DVD will present instructions for performing different system tasks. Follow the instructions displayed on the screen.
    5. Can choose to recover (overwrite) all files (the best option) or to recover system files only while keeping all user files intact. User files are images, lists, type of original templates, and other data we created with the system.
    6. After system recovery we must run System Maintenance.
    Atention: We recomended that in case select the recovery (overwrite) all files, ask to the user to run a backup of the files stored in the scanner.
    If after running the recovery the problem persists, perform the step 2.
  2. Contact HP about a new scanner software version.
