HP Notebook PCs - Digitizer Pen and Touch Screen May Stop Working After Upgrading from Vista to Windows 7

This document pertains to HP Pavilion tx2000, tx2500, and tx2600 Entertainment Notebook PC series with Windows 7.
After the notebook operating system is upgraded from Vista to Windows 7, the Digitizer pen and touch screen may stop working.
To resolve this issue, uninstall the existing Vista driver and restart the computer.
Manually uninstall the Vista driver and restart the computer
Manually uninstall the existing Vista driver by following these steps.
  1. Click Start, enter run in the search field and select Run from the list.
  2. Enter C:\"Program Files"\Tablet\Pen\remove.exe and press enter.
  3. Restart the computer and the correct Windows 7 driver will install automatically.
