HP Color LaserJet CM2320 Multifunction Printer (MFP) Series - TSW: Thin Line Appears on Trailing Edge of A4 Paper Size Jobs

Issue

When printing to an HP Color LaserJet CM2320 Multifunction Printer (MFP) using the PCL6 printer driver, a thin line or broken line or dots appear on the trailing edge of printouts on A4 media. It is most commonly seen when printing .PDF and PowerPoint files but can also occur on other types of documents.

Solution

In the PCL6 driver Printing Preferences window, change the Print Data Optimization setting to Optimize for Text and Vector using the following steps:
  1. From the Microsoft Windows desktop, click the Start button and select Control Panel.
  2. In the Control Panel, select Printers or Printers and Faxes (varies depending on your version of Windows).
  3. In Printers or Printers and Faxes, right-click the CM2320 Series PCL 6 icon and click Printing Preferences.
  4. Click the Advanced tab.
  5. Under the Printer Features section, locate Print Data Optimization and click Auto. The drop-down arrow appears; click the arrow to view all the settings, and then select Optimize for Text and Vector.
  6. Click the Apply button to save the setting.
  7. Click the OK button to close Printing Preferences.
  8. Close the Control Panel.
The line or dots on the trailing edge will no longer appear.
