HP Notebook PCs - Changing the Screen Rotation (Windows 10)
This document is for HP notebook PCs with Windows 10.
You can lock the display to prevent automatic screen rotation or change the screen orientation.
Lock the screen rotation in tablet mode
Use the Rotation lock feature to disable automatic screen rotation when using the computer in tablet mode.
Click the
Action Center
icon
on the taskbar.
You can also open the Action Center by pressing the Windows logo key
+ A on the keyboard.
Click
Rotation lock
.
The tile turns blue when you enable the rotation lock feature.
Change the screen orientation in desktop mode
The Rotation lock feature is not available when using the computer in desktop mode. Use Windows Settings to change the screen orientation.
In Windows, search for and open
Settings
.
In the Settings menu, click
System
.
Click the drop-down menu under
Orientation
and select an option from the list.
