HP Officejet 9100 Series - Unable to Scan to Network Folder

Issue:
Unable to scan to network folder.
Solution
The following information was taken from the document titled:
"Scan to Network Folder Using EWS for Officejet 9100 Series".
  1. First create a folder on the desktop preferably on the local drive. You could name the folder as you want it to be. Right click on the folder and go to properties. Go to the sharing tab on the properties window. Confirm that read only is not checked in the general tab.
  2. Click on the share this folder radio button and give a share name. Comments can be added to distinguish this folder purpose in the network. To limit the number of people who can connect to the shared folder or drive at the same time, click Allow under User limit, and then type the number of users. To set share permissions on the shared folder or drive, click Permissions.
      note:
To share folders and drives, you must be logged on as a member of any one of the following groups:
    • Administrators
    • Server Operators
    • Power Users
  3. In the permissions window add everyone and allow full control for everyone and then click on Apply.
  4. To set permissions for a group or user that does not appear in the Group or user names box, click Add. Type the name of the group or user you want to set permissions for and then click on OK.
  5. Click on the Apply on the Sharing tab.
  6. Open an internet explorer and type in the IP address of the printer on the address bar which will take to the Embedded Web Server (EWS) page of the printer.

  10. If you belong to a network domain then enter the domain name and the username for username name option and then enter the password. If you have just the username and no domain name enter just the username and the password. If there is no username on the computer then leave it blank.
