How to view the amount of supplies in your printer on Mac OS X 10.4

You can view the levels of the supplies in the printer. This information can include the amount of ink or toner remaining in your printer.

1. Open the document to print, and choose File > Print.
2. Choose the printer from the Printer pop-up menu
3. Choose Supplies Level from the Copies & Pages pop-up menu.

If you do not see graphs displaying the levels of supplies, your printer may have come with a utility that displays this information. To open that utility, choose Print & Fax Preferences from the Copies & Pages pop-up menu, click Printing, double-click the printer, and click Utility.
