About page counts

Sometimes the HP Instant Ink page count looks different from what you expect.

  • Page counts are updated about once a day, not immediately.

  • If your printer is disconnected for a while, the page counts are recorded for the date when you reconnect, not the date you printed.

  • Only pages printed using Instant Ink ink or toner cartridges are recorded.

  • If you signed up with the Instant Ink-Ready or Instant Toner-Ready cartridges that came with your printer, the service and page counting start immediately.

  • Any page that your printer placed any amount of ink or toner on counts as a printed page. If your printer prints on both sides of a page, it counts as two pages.

  • To view your print history:

    1. Sign into your HP Instant Ink account.

    2. If HP Instant Ink displays as a choice in the left menu, click it.

    3. Click Print History.
