How to load paper or envelopes in the input tray of HP Laser NS MFP 1005, 1005c, 1005n, and 1005w printers.
Do not load multiple types of paper in the input tray, and never load paper while the printer is printing.
Load a stack of paper into the input tray.
Remove the input tray cover.
Slide out the paper guides as far as possible.
Flex or fan the edge of the paper stack to separate the pages.
Insert a stack paper (no more than 150 sheets) into the input tray with the top forward and the side to be printed on facing up.
Slide in the paper guides until they touch the edges of the paper.
To prevent paper jams, do not overfill the tray. Make sure the top of the stack is below the paper fill guide inside the printer.
Replace the input tray cover.
Pull out the output bin extension.
Before you print, make sure to select the correct paper size or media type in the print job settings.
Load one envelope at a time in the input tray.
Remove the input tray cover.
Slide out the paper guides as far as possible.
Remove any paper from the input tray.
Insert one envelope into the input tray with the short postage end toward the back of the tray and the side to be printed on facing up.
Slide the paper guides to the edges of the envelope.
Slide the input tray cover onto the tray.
Pull out the output bin extension.
Before you print, make sure to select the correct paper size or media type in the print job settings.
