HP Split 13-M000 X2 Notebook PCs - Unsafe Disconnect from Docking Station Message Appears After Safely Detaching Computer From Docking Station

The computer displays an error message when the locking latch slider is disengaged to undock the computer. This occurs despite using the Safely Remove Hardware icon.
Unsafe disconnect from Docking Station
You have unplugged or ejected from a docking station without stopping it - which can cause loss of valuable data.
Please use the Safely Remove Hardware icon in the status bar to eject from the docking station before disconnecting the Slate.
