HP Thin Clients - Enabling VNC Via HP Device Manager

By default, Virtual Network Computing (VNC) is not enabled on any HP Thin clients with any of the latest Images, as such the VNC Viewer cannot work on HP Device Manager.
After discovering the device that needs to be shadowed follow these steps:
  1. In Windows, search for and open HP Device Manager.
  2. Right-click the specific device, and then choose Send Task.
  3. In the category field, choose Settings, and then choose Apply Settings in the Template field.
  4. Click Next, click Edit, and then check VNC Settings.
  5. Click Next, make sure VNC Shadow is enabled, and then enter any other details, for example: Passwords into the corresponding fields.
  6. Click Next, and then click Finish.
  7. Click OK, The task is sent, wait for the progress to turn green.
  8. Right-click the specific device, and then select either Shadow or Reverse Shadow.
The screen of the Thin Client displays on HP Device Manager window.
  9. If the Shadow Device does not work, then navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Hewlett-Packard\HP Device Manager\Console\lib, and click VNC Viewer.
  10. Type the IP address of the specific device as shown in HP Device Manager under Devices.
