HP Designjet Printers - An "Ole Phantom Printer" Error Message Is Received When Trying to Print to AutoCAD 14

Issue:
When trying to print using the HP provided AutoCAD drivers or system printer, an "OLE PHANTOM PRINTER" error message is received.
Solution
When your AutoCAD R14 application is installed, a "phantom" AutoCAD driver is also installed and is loaded into your printer box in Windows 95.
  1. Go to the Windows 95 printer box.
  2. Make sure that this driver is not set as default.
  3. If it is not set as default and you still have problems, delete this printer driver from the printer box.
