HP is enhancing the BIOS on the following HP 2015 notebook PCs.

Effective February 14, 2023, HP is enhancing the BIOS on the HP 2015 notebook PCs.

The new software and BIOS updates are available for download from the HP Software and Driver Downloads page after the effective date.

HP EliteBook 850 G3/HP EliteBook 840 G3/HP EliteBook 820 G3, HP ZBook 15u G3 Mobile Workstation System BIOS has the following enhancements added:

Fixes an issue when the BIOS Administrator password/Power on password can be accepted if the password length is less than minimum length of the password.
Enhancement to address security vulnerability CVE-2022-27539.
Enhancement to address security vulnerability CVE-2022-27541.

HP ZBook 17 G3/HP ZBook 15 G3 Mobile Workstation System BIOS has the following enhancements added:

Fixes an issue when the BIOS Administrator password/Power on password can be accepted if the password length is less than minimum length of the password.
Enhancement to address security vulnerability CVE-2022-27539.
Enhancement to address security vulnerability CVE-2022-27541.

HP ZBook Studio G3 Mobile Workstation System BIOS has the following enhancements added:

Fixes an issue when the BIOS Administrator password/Power on password can be accepted if the password length is less than minimum length of the password.
Enhancement to address security vulnerability CVE-2022-27539.
Enhancement to address security vulnerability CVE-2022-27541.

HP EliteBook Folio G1 System BIOS has the following enhancements added:
