HP LaserJet Enterprise, HP PageWide Enterprise - Print using Wireless Direct or Near Field Communication (NFC)
Learn how to print wirelessly to a supported HP Enterprise printer using Wireless Direct or Near Field Communication (NFC) with an the HP Jetdirect 3000w NFC & Wireless Accessory.
When using an HP Enterprise printer with embedded Wireless Direct Print (built-in print access point) or HP Near Field Communication (NFC) capability, or after installing the HP Jetdirect 3000w NFC/Wireless Direct Accessory on an HP Enterprise printer, use the steps in this document to obtain a mobile printing app or solution appropriate for the mobile device and operating system, and to learn how to print wirelessly from a laptop, phone, or tablet.
Step one: Set up the printer
Before you can print using Wireless Direct or Near-Field Communication (NFC), you must first enable the Wireless Direct and NFC settings on the printer.

Step two: Set up the laptop, phone, or tablet
Before you can print from a mobile device to an HP printer, you need to set up the laptop, phone, or tablet and download a compatible Print app or driver.
If you have an Android 4.4 or newer, perform step 1 below and then continue to Step three: Connect to the printer and print.
For all other operating systems, follow all of the steps below.
Step three: Connect to the printer and print
To print, choose which method to use (Wireless Direct or Near Field Communication) from the options below and then follow the steps provided.
Method one: Print using Wireless Direct
The steps to print using Wireless Direct vary depending on the device and operating system that you are using. Find the section below that pertains to your device, and then follow the instructions to print using Wireless Direct.
Android 4.4 and newer
Follow these steps to print from an Android (4.4 and newer) device using Wireless Direct.

Make sure the phone or tablet is within wireless range of the printer.

Open the file that you want to print.

Tap the menu icon

Tap Print.

Tap the name of the printer in the list.

Tap the down arrow to change any print settings, and then tap the Print icon
.
Blackberry, iOS, and Windows 8 or newer
Follow these steps to print from a Blackberry, iOS, or Windows (version 8 or newer) device using Wireless Direct.
Depending on the file type and application that you are printing from, these steps might vary slightly.
After you select the printer, HP ePrint saves the printer to your recently used printers list. In Windows, this is located on the Recent tab.
macOS (version 10.7 and newer)
Follow these steps to print from a macOS device (10.7 and newer) using Wireless Direct.

Open the file that you want to print.

Select the File menu.

Select Print, and then select AirPrint (if it is not already the default).

Modify the print options or settings.

Select Print.

When finished printing, reconnect to your preferred Wi-Fi network.

Method two: Print using Near Field Communication (NFC)
To print using NFC, use the HP ePrint Software driver (version 4.5 or newer) with either an Android phone or tablet (v2.2 or greater), or a Windows 8 ElitePad 900 tablet.
NFC printing is not currently supported on Blackberry, Chrome OS, or iOS devices, or on Windows OS phones.
If you purchased and installed an NFC & Wireless Direct Accessory on a printer that already has NFC capability built-in, you might experience connection conflicts. If so, remove the installed accessory and use the embedded NFC feature.
