HP Color LaserJet Managed E55040 - 13.B2.A2, 13.B2.D2 jam error in tray 2

Use the following procedure to check for paper in all possible jam locations related to Tray 2. When a jam occurs, the control panel displays a message and an animation that assists in clearing the jam.

• 13.B2.A2 Jam in right door
• 13.B2.D2 Jam in right door

The printer model referenced in the video is different, but the steps also apply to the E55040 model.

1. Lift the latch on the right door to release it.

2. Open the right door.

3. Gently pull out any jammed paper from the pick-up area inside the right door.

4. Open Tray 2 and remove it from the printer by pulling and lifting it up slightly.

5. Remove any jammed or damaged sheets of paper from the tray. Verify that the tray is not overfilled and that the paper guides are adjusted correctly.

6. Remove any paper from the feed rollers inside the printer. First pull the paper to the left to release it, and then pull it forward to remove it.

7. Reinsert and close Tray 2.

8. Close the right door.
